Uploading pictures taken without a digital camera

A:
Photogra.com, like all other online photo album services requires you to have copies of your images in digital format in order to be able to put them on the web.
Digital images are created in several ways...
Digital Cameras are the most common method in which to create digital photos. Digital cameras produced by many big name electronics manufacturers are available for purchase in camera stores, electronic stores, and even online. Digital cameras generally come packaged with easy to use software to help you transport the photos you have taken with the camera onto your computer. Once on your computer, the images are ready to be transferred to Photogra.com for viewing and sharing online.
Digital Scanners are like color photcopy machines. A Digital Scanner is attached to your computer, and allows you to "scan" your paper photos and store them in Digital format on your computer. As with Digital Cameras, most scanners come packaged with easy to use software to help you transport the photos you scan onto your computer. Once on your computer, the images are ready to be transferred to Photogra.com for viewing and sharing online.
Standard Film Processing services are now beginning to offer an optional service in which your paper photos can also be stored in digital format on a CD (compact disk), or even uploaded directly to Photogra.com. Please check with your local Film Processor to find out if they offer this service. Once on CD, your images can easily be transferred up to Photogra.com.
Photogra.com will soon be offering discounted Film Processing services for our members. We will provide standard overnight film processing, in addition to storing digital copies of your photos in your online Photogra.com album. We'll keep you informed as this service becomes available.
